There are two forums around that I like for family travel. They are the Lonely Planet Thorn Tree for traveling with kids and Bootsnall also has a forum for traveling with children.
I am in the final stages as well of finishing a forum that will be dedicated only to family travel and as much as I can say that the above forums are great resources for parents to lean more about travelling with kids you can still never be sure if you should let the kids loose on the forum. I will make sure as a tech guy and as a father of two young kids that our forums here are kid friendly.
